Central Kentucky's favorite soft drink. The simple green bottle packs a sophisticated flavor blend of citrus and ginger flavors that will have you coming back for more. Legend has it that the flavor formula for Ale-8-One was developed by soda bottler G. L. Wainscott in the mid-1920s but he couldn't quite come up with the name. He sponsored a contest and "A Late One" was picked as the winner--because this soft drink was the "latest thing" in beverages. The formula has remained the same but the name was shorted to "Ale-8-One" and has been a perennial favorite in Kentucky for generations.
