University of Virginia

Hello! Tuning in from the University of Virginia, it’s Ella the Extern! Spring has sprung here in Charlottesville, and I’ve heard the weather isn’t too shabby in Frankfort either! My first year has been full of fun. I declared my major in Global Studies, and I’m doing a concentration in Environmental and Sustainability Policy. I’m also earning a minor in entrepreneurship, which can surely be attested to my time at Completely Kentucky. Although the shopping is great in Charlottesville, I’m excited to return to my favorite store in downtown Frankfort. The girls have stocked the window with all things spring! Y’all know we love to celebrate Earth Day in style, and with the holiday approaching, come check out some of our new (and socially conscious) art!

As pictured, our new reusable make-up wipes and rags are flying off the shelves. These are a thoughtful and fun purchase for all, whether you’re gifting them to a middle-schooler entering their mascara phase or a relative with a spring birthday!

Also, the most wonderful time of the year is approaching… and no, it’s not Christmas. We’re getting ready for DERBY (although feel free to search for stocking stuffers). Come stock up on your bourbon balls, mint julep syrup, party tea towels, and old-fashioned bitters. Unfortunately, I will not be competing in the downtown Frankfort Derby breakfast bicycle race again this year, but I will be there in spirit from the library during finals. After completing my research on the Derby racehorses this year, I think I’m going to channel good grades and root for Instant Coffee (odds 19-1) and Confidence Game (30-1). I’m hoping my odds at A’s are better than those horses!

I’m excited to be back in Kentucky soon. Until then, go keep my favorite ladies company and visit the store!
