Blind, Deaf & Full of Grace: Cowgirl’s Day Out
At 14½ years old, Cowgirl the Rat Terrier is proof that adventure has no age limit.Cowgirl may be deaf, blind, and riding in style in her stroller, but don’t let that fool you—this girl has places to go and hearts to steal. She and her devoted human have been out exploring from Nicholasville, with stops at Cove Spring Park, Wilson’s, and Sage. When they heard about our dog-friendly store, they just had to add us to the tour!
Cowgirl rolled in like a celebrity on a meet-and-greet, taking in the smells, the love, and of course- the treats. She might not see or hear the world the way she used to, but Cowgirl’s heart—and that wagging tail—are still very much tuned into the joy around her.
Thanks for visiting, Cowgirl! You’re welcome to roll in any time.
I have followed Cowgirl (and loved her from afar) for years! Her momma is one of my friends. Both are gentle, loving & strong souls!
Ok, Cowgirl is my furry niece and has the best Mom ever (my sister Janine). This made me cry too!
Thank you for the beautiful tribute to my sweet pet. It brought tears to my eyes even though she belongs to me. 🥰
