From Duck Hunts to Daytime Snoozes: Meet Trigger

If you ever find yourself in Frankfort, you might just bump into a local legend — Trigger, a 12-year-old male chocolate lab with a resume that would make any dog (or human) proud. This semi-retired, award-winning duck hunter still remembers his glory days in the field, but nowadays, he's more likely to be found snoozing after a good hunt, or strolling through our store, living his best doggy life.Once a fierce competitor in the world of duck hunting, Trigger has earned his place in the hunting hall of fame. But at 12 years old, he’s now in semi-retirement. He still likes to hunt occasionally — just a morning here and there — but the rest of the day is all about naps and enjoying the quiet life. Can you blame him? After all, this dog has worked hard, earning awards and making memories in the field that most dogs can only dream of.When Trigger walks through our doors, he’s the definition of a "chill senior dog". He might have been out chasing ducks just hours earlier, but now he's taking in the sights of our store with a slow, deliberate sniff here and there. He’s a dog who’s seen it all and doesn’t rush anything. We’re thrilled to have such an accomplished visitor! And though Trigger may no longer be out in the field chasing ducks like he used to, we know he’s still as sharp as ever. A true duck-hunting legend turned senior dog, he's earned his spot as a local icon.

Next time you’re in town, see if you . And if he’s sleeping on the job, well, that just means he’s earned his rest — just like any retired champion should!
