Memorial Day Barbecue

Hello! It's Ella the Extern! I don't know about y'all, but I sure am ready for the long weekend! For Memorial Day, my family from New York is headed down to entertain us. Friday night, my mom and grandpa are barbecuing in the backyard for a Coblin crowd of 20! There's no better way to show Southern charm to our favorite Northerners than with some backyard bbq necessities from the store.
First, we're going to get the grill going with Hickory Chips. They work wonders on our charcoal grill, but they're great on a gas grill too! The essence of hickory in our steaks will have all my cousins going back for seconds.
Now, while the grill is heating up, you've gotta have something for the aunts to snack on. So, of course, I'll have to bring home some Flag Fork beer cheese mix. Mixed with some sharp cheddar cheese, 1/4 cup of beer, some Worcestershire sauce, and a couple dollops of mayonnaise, this beer cheese knocks the socks off the stuff at the Kroger deli! Mom will make sure I buy several packets because this delicious mix goes quickly.
And, finally, when the hickory smoked steaks are done, we'll add our MUST HAVE sauce. It ain't your average A1 steak sauce. My grandpa's sisters will claim they came to Frankfort just to have Henry Bain's sauce!
So, if you're spending the holiday with family and friends like us, head down to the store and stock up on your favorite Kentucky crafted items! We'll be open all weekend if you need us!
